Knowledge is the currency of the 21rst century. Babies can learn more, far earlier than we ever thought. Those two put together explain why early education is so trendy.

However, parents and policy makers have the idea that pre-school should be like "real" school, with a teacher imparting their knowledge. Not only is it inefficient, it's actually counter-productive. And that's a fact that was scientifically proven multiple times.
